Bevel. A door for the arc. The paper owns the angle.
Cable. Holder. Ground. Then you may set polarity.
Polarity is the rod and the WPS. Not a memory.
CheckClean. Bevel. Check cables. Set polarity from the paper. Strike a test arc. Hold a short length. Write the check. A dirty plate with a high current is still a pore waiting. Face shield on for the grind.
